PEEROL

PEEROL represents LWOB's newest program model currently in a test phase in Tanzania. The acronum stands for: "Project Economic Engine for Rule of Law" and basically closely links economic development projects with rule of law empowerment.  While there are many microenterprise projects which support basic needs this program model develops economic enterprises which are closely tied to a legal need, or legal empowerment issue--that at one and the same time creates economic opportunity that reinforces or creates access to justice.

Each micro enterprise creates a product for sale and distribution which is intended to financially support its producers--but the product itself represents something that reinforces a legal right, or is a product which provides a foundation to access to justice.  By linking the item produced to an important legal right the program vision is that the access to justice will be sustained by the economic component of the project--rather than the international donor involvement.  This important factor also means that for as long as the business model is sound, the project will be self sustaining long after the donor dollars have been expended.

If you are experienced with microenterprise and microfinance, or a donor willing to support the test launch of LWOB's first projects in Tanzania and Kenya, please contact LWOB immediately. LWOB is self-funding groups who are currently creating prototypes for ultimate mass production and is seeking donors to support launch of this model project which LWOB believes is the first of its kind and a promising development for rule of law throughout the developing world.
